In these Terms, “Layered”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Steven Chell trading as Layered.

We provide two personalised educational skincare review products: Skincare Clarity Review and Bespoke Routine Review. Layered prepares personalised routine guidance using information you provide about your products, skin history and preferences.

A review is educational routine guidance. It does not diagnose, prescribe, assess photographs, treat a medical condition, replace professional medical advice or guarantee a particular result.

Personalised reviews are available only to people aged 18 or over. The intended recipient of the review, not merely the purchaser or cardholder, must be aged 18 or over.

You select a review, proceed through the Stripe payment process and, after payment is confirmed, provide the information needed to prepare it through the review questionnaire. Your completed questionnaire details allow us to prepare the personalised service. We will send confirmation information to the email address you provide.

Your service contract with Layered is formed when Stripe confirms your payment. The statutory cancellation period described below starts from that point.

An early-performance request is not what forms the contract. If you expressly ask Layered to begin during the cancellation period, we may do so once we have received your completed details. If you do not make that request, we will wait until the cancellation period has expired before preparing your review.

Payment is taken through Stripe, our existing payment provider, in accordance with its checkout process.

Your review is prepared from the information you supply. Please provide information that is accurate and sufficiently complete for the service you have chosen. Information you provide remains your information; these Terms do not transfer ownership of it to Layered.

For an online service contract, you usually have a statutory 14-day period in which to cancel, starting when the contract is entered into. To cancel, send a clear statement to hello@layeredskincare.com. You may use the optional model form below, or simply tell us clearly that you wish to cancel.

If you expressly ask us to start preparing your review during the 14-day period and then cancel after work has begun but before the review is complete, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied. Once the personalised review service has been fully performed during that period, you may lose the right to cancel where the applicable statutory requirements have been satisfied.

Layered will begin preparing a review during the 14-day cancellation period only where you have expressly requested this. Sending your completed details does not silently create that request. If the request is not given, we will not treat your intake as authorised for immediate production while the cancellation period is still running.

We will email your completed review as a PDF within 3 working days after we are permitted to begin preparing it. If you request early performance, that can be after we receive your completed review details. If you do not, the 3-working-day period starts after the cancellation period expires. If anything important is missing or unclear, we may contact you before completing it.

If Layered cannot provide a personalised review because the intended recipient is under 18, the review will be cancelled and any payment made for that review will be refunded in full to the original payment method.

This does not reduce any statutory cancellation or consumer rights.

If you cancel before the service starts, Layered will refund your payment. If work has started at your express request during the cancellation period, any proportionate amount lawfully due for the service already supplied may be deducted from the refund.

Any refund due will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you tell us that you are cancelling. We will use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. No administration fee, punitive cancellation fee or blanket exclusion applies.

Layered retains ownership of its original wording, artwork, layout, templates and other intellectual property in a personalised review. The named recipient receives a personal, non-commercial licence to use the review for their own routine organisation. They may save the review, print reasonable copies for their own use and privately show it to a healthcare professional where relevant.

The review must not be redistributed, published, uploaded, resold, sublicensed, rebranded or commercially reproduced. Substantial parts of Layered's original wording, artwork, layouts or templates must not be reproduced or repurposed without Layered's prior written permission. No ownership of Layered intellectual property transfers to the recipient.

Customer-supplied information remains the customer's information. These Terms do not give Layered ownership of general skincare facts or public knowledge.

Layered provides educational guidance only. We do not diagnose, prescribe, assess photographs or replace medical advice. You should continue to follow instructions from your prescriber or other healthcare professional. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections or your right to bring proceedings in the UK jurisdiction where you live.

You may copy and send this form, but using it is optional. A clear cancellation statement sent to hello@layeredskincare.com is also sufficient.
